The bright green veggie, Celery is no less than a devil and it amazes me to know how it was able to garner so much attention on the internet, where all the celebrities and bloggers are consuming it like it’s no big deal. But all this was only until I tried celery juice and I cannot tell you how it changed everything for me.
Before I started my regime with this veggie, rather its juice, I scoured the internet to find out all the benefits it has. Erin Palinski Wade, a registered dietitian, said in one of the interviews that celery helps in reducing blood pressure, reduces inflammation and it also fights against oxidative stress. The nutrients of the veggie do not deteriorate when it is converted into juice.
What I really like about it is that it’s not just any random thing that has popped up all over the internet. It is not even a marketing gimmick for people to sell and earn money out of it, it is just celery. There are so many supplements out there that can help you achieve all sorts of health goals but the reason why I wanted to try my hands on this juicing was that it comes in its natural form.
Though I had heard from a lot of friends of mine that it has an unappetizing taste, I still decided to give it a try. Worst case scenario, I would give up but definitely give it a try till I know if all the fuss around it is true or not.

- Try not to have this juice in the middle of the day.
- Avoid consuming things like olives, seeds or avocado for 2 hours max after the consumption of this juice.
- Try to consume organic celery and in case you find an alternative for this, ensure it is washed properly and then consume it.
- Drink it without adding any salt or sweet. Do not add lime juice to it or apple cider vinegar. Drink it as it is. (which is why I called it a devil drink in the first place)
- It is a good idea to drink fresh juice instead of storing it.
- Nothing replaces this juice. Beware of scams like celery tablets, as they are not even close to having the fresh juice made of out of this veggie. The enzymes in it are not available in any other alternative.

- When you consume the juice with food, it causes a lot of troubles.
- Eating food rich in high fat after consuming celery juice is a very bad idea.
- Making the juice in batches to consume over the week.

And Finally, My Experience With Having The Celery Juice
I did not want to get my hopes high by thinking that I will follow it regularly, because, hey, people do fail. But I did decide to do a week’s trial and if I do enjoy it and find it beneficial, I wanted to continue what I started.
So I embarked on this journey with utter confidence.
Why I decided to drink celery juice
I had heard from a lot of people that celery juice is good for skin and hair, not to mention how it aids other health issues as well. Besides that, I was suffering from fibroids as well and I had heard this one works wonders for that as well, which is why I decided to give it a shot.
What Happened After I consumed celery juice everyday?
Speaking of the taste, it was just day one of having the celery juice and I couldn’t stand it. I started slow and took a small glass of this juice empty stomach.
I realised that the taste of this one majorly depends on one key factor that the batch you choose, has to be good enough. Check the color of the batch, it has to be dark green as it tastes better. When you juice the leaves and if the juice turns brown, it will taste bitter. However, when the leaves are really dark, the juice is even powerful and intense and the taste will be very strong. This is more potent and hence you can consume less of it, Good enough, right?
I kept consuming the juice with its bitter taste and to my surprise, it was less revolting than it was on day one. It was basically about getting my body used to the new thing I was introducing it to.

What I noticed after consuming this for a week was that I slept better and my time management skills were top-notch (the timing has nothing to do with the juice). What kept me going was the fact that after consuming this juice, I will finally earn my coffee, an hour later. This gave me less shudder while I drank that whole chunk of juice.
As days passed, I increased the quantity of the juice and you know what? It started working and was doing so many good deeds for me. My digestion had improved. My skin had no sudden breakouts and even my hair felt better, I experienced less hair fall after consuming the juice for two weeks.
I had a very bad diet pattern but having this juice gave me hopes and it also changed my eating habits. I started consuming less processed and junk food. But since you do not have to add any other sweeteners, splurging on this healthy veggie should not seem like a burden for your pocket.
Another good news according to the founder of the medical medium, Anthony William, is that you can rely on conventional celery but you have to wash it thoroughly. The best way to do so is by using saltwater. Rinse it well till the time the salt disappears. This will definitely make it easy for you to control your expenses.
How To Make Celery Juice?
You need to use a juicer, for example, a masticating juicer or a juicer extractor will work just fine for the celery. You can also use a food processor. Just chop the stalks and cut them in smaller pieces. Make its puree and then use a nut milk bag so you are able to squeeze out the juice. Do not add water here.
The only way to get its benefits is also by improving your other habits, natural remedies work well only with good eating habits and an ideal lifestyle.
And, This Is How I Fit It In My Routine
After I wake up I drink a big glass of celery juice. On some days, I have my coffee an hour later. There are days when it is a bit relaxed, which is when I find time to do my yoga as well. I do that and then I take my breakfast after 40 minutes or so. I ensure that it is fat-free.
You can also consume the juice after your workout sesh but wait out for a while then have it, followed by a light breakfast. Plan your other meals ahead of time. I usually take a cup of green tea in the evening and I ensure that I am done with my dinner by 7:30 pm.
As stated above, the benefits that I read on the internet related to having this juice, turned out to be all true. In my case, I did start seeing results in two weeks time and as time passed, it only got better for me. Be it my skin or weight loss or my overall health, I must admit that all my habits turned 180 degrees and now, it all feels amazing. Take my word for it and bring in the goodness of this juice.
